dancing for donuts

the other day i was driving home from work, and as i was at a stoplight, i noticed a little boy and his father walking into a Yum Yum Donuts across the street. as they entered the store, the little boy hurriedly perused over every delectable selection while enthusiastically doing a Charlie Brown sort of dance before the glass encasings.

how amazing is that? at what point in our growing adulthood do we stop doing that? and who tells us to stop? i wished, in that one little moment, that i could have tasted a split second of that simple, child-like enthusiasm that the little boy was experiencing. i hope he never stops dancing for donuts
