NO! not my beloved gummies!!!

i made a little late nite jaunt down to my local walgreens saturday night because i was craving my most favorite candy in the world: Haribo gummy bears. for those of you not in the know, this brand of gummy bear has a much better chewy consistency and flavor than the Black Forest brand, imho. i was even feeling brave enough to venture out in my pj bottoms - only to discover that once i brought my bag of beloved gummies to the checkout counter they were on RECALL. excuse me, what? how is that possible? so i ran back to grab the Haribo cola gummies, thinking "ok, i can deal - if its just the bears these cola gummies are also a good alternative." but no! denied! it's the entire Haribo line! i mean, if its on recall, why would you tease your customers by leaving your shelves fully stocked with this wonderful candy? register guy apologized for the inconvenience, to which my only reply to him was "aww, are you serious? this is, like, the only candy worth coming out in your pj's for!"

i guess sour patch kids will just have to do for now.
